Latest Official Viewers

Here you will find the latest installers in each of the three official InWorldz Viewer versions. Please note that for the best performance and reliability, the latest version should be used of each should be used.

The InWorldz 3 viewer is the latest official viewer and is recommended for all users, but especially for new users.

Inworldz 3.x Viewers

This is a new version of the InWorldz client software that end users can install and run on their personal computers. It is used to connect to InWorldz as the user (avatar).

It is available for three operating system platforms:

This is a latest official viewer from InWorldz, and has the latest viewer features, and fixes that are not available in Viewer 2 (or Viewer 1). As a result, it should be more stable, reliable and complete than earlier viewers.

Some experienced users may prefer to continue to use the InWorldz 2.2.15 or third-party viewers such as Firestorm, since those viewers have some features that this one does not, however InWorldz 3 is the only viewer which will receive further updates from InWorldz, and is the recommended viewer for new users.

InWorldz 2.x Viewers

This viewer was previously the official InWorldz viewer, now superseded by InWorldz 3. The Version 2 viewer was a Release Candidate (development) viewer, but it was considered a better choice than the InWorldz 1 viewer. There will be no further updates to the Version 2 viewers. It is being offered "as-is", as a convenience for those users on older machines that are not capable of running a more recent viewer:

Note: This viewer does not support the newer forms of avatar worn mesh, ribbon particles, and many other features that are available in Viewer 3. This can result in visual glitches such as avatar attachment spiking, or visually-incomplete rendering of the scene.

This viewer is provided because there are InWorldz residents who prefer to use this one, or must use it because they cannot use the Version 3 viewer and do not wish to use a more recent third-party viewer.

On Linux machines, the SSE3 installer is recommended and suitable for most computers that were built after 2005. Very old computers may not support the SSE3 instruction set and for those machines, the non-SSE3 installer is also provided.

Inworldz 1.x Viewers

Note: This viewer is very old and does not support the display of mesh objects found in the newer viewers, or many of the other enhancements found in the Version 3 viewers. There will be no further updates to the Version 1 viewers. It is being offered "as-is", as a convenience for those users on older machines that are not capable of running a more recent viewer.

On Windows and Linux machines, the SSE2 versions are recommended and suitable for most computers that were built after 2004. Very old computers may not support the SSE2 instruction set and for those machines, the non-SSE2 installer is also provided.
